Annual Project Yesu Benefit
Instead of our normal Fall event, this year we are partnering with Kids Around the World to pack 50,000 meals to send to Uganda, for the families we serve. As you can imagine the pandemic has had a major impact on an already vulnerable area, and food insecurity is a major problem. These nutrition-packed meals have a 2-year shelf life and will be distributed by our team of social workers.
There are two ways you can get involved.
We are looking for 300 people to sponsor a box for $50. Each box provides 216 meals. That comes out to 23¢ cents a meal. To sponsor a box, click here
For our local friends, we are looking for 40 teams to volunteer to pack meals. A team can be a family, work friends, small group, scout troop, or any group of 1 to 10 people. We will provide all the supplies you need, you just need a place and a team. It takes a team of 4 approximately 1-hour to pack 1 box. We are asking each team to commit to packing 6 boxes and a $100 donation. To sign up to pack meals, click here
Saturday, November 14th join us for a family-friendly outdoor event where you can learn more about Project Yesu and the work we are doing. We will end our night with a movie under the stars viewing of Queen of Katwe, a family-friendly Disney movie that showcases life in Uganda.

50,000 Meals is a BIG undertaking, and we can’t do it without you!

You will return on November 14th to drop off your packed meals and supplies. It takes a team of 4 people approximately an hour to pack one box. We ask that each team donate $100.
