Lamwaka Lydia

Birthday January 8, 2004 – (8 years old)

The name Lamwaka comes from the Acholi language meaning “during Christmas time” Lydia received this name because she was born at the end of the Christmas season.

Lydia lives with her mother, Aloyo Vicky. Lydia has seven brothers and sisters. To care for the large family, Vicky rolls paper beads and works in the stone quarry.

Lydia attends Creamland Primary School. Her favorite subject is English, especially learning how to speak and understand it. She also likes to read and draw. Lydia would like to become a nurse when she is older.
