12 July 2013

We woke up this morning and we were going to head out to visit Kupendwa Ministries, but Mali woke up not feeling well and running a fever. We are hoping it is just a little dehydration, plus its the dry season out here now so they dust and dirt are bad and since we have been riding the bodas more now, we’ve successfully sniffed up plenty of dirt and dust, so maybe its sinuses to..either way please pray that she gets to feeling better QUICK! Our time is almost up on this trip and we don’t want her sick the last few days.

She was feeling a bit better by lunchtime so we went into town to eat and then we met up with our friend Kiria and his wife and kids and we took them to the big agriculture fair here in Jinja. The kids have never been so it was fun to watch them soak it all in. There were agricultural displays on farming, seeds, planting, etc. There were animals like an ostrich, Ugandan crane, a cheetah and a lion…so yes, now we can say that we have seen wild animals (other then monkeys) in Uganda.  It was fun to spend the afternoon with Kiria and Pross and their kids.

Then we came home and started dinner, and as David and I were out peeling potatoes..I got pooped on by a bat…yup…TIA…this is Africa!
