Students and staff from all five elementary schools in the Bowling Green Independent School District paid $1.00 to wear their pajamas to school on February 2. This was sponsored by the 5th Gifted and Talented students in an effort to raise the money needed to pay this year’s fees for the two girls the students sponsor through Project Yesu. The district-wide event was called “PJ’s for School Days”, and was scheduled on Feb.2, to coincide with the Ugandan students first day back to school. The fundraiser was so successful that in addition to paying the fees for the two girls currently sponsored, a third child can now be sponsored.
