Waiting for their porridge

Today, we went to the Acholi Quarter to do our feeding program. Usually, we do it on weekdays but we decided to do it today and instead of only the children in our program,, almost ALL the children in the Quarter came to take porridge! There were hundreds of children there!

It was so amazing to see all the kids come. We had lots of help feeding that many..Santina, Jennifer, Mama Oyet and one of the boys named Promise.

Before we started feeding them I played games with them until the porridge was ready. They taught me how to play boligno and we laughed and played.

After the feeding was done and cleaned up, we handed out the rest of the dresses, we gave out over 700 dresses just in the Acholi Quarter.

I got to visit with my sponsored kids Lydia, Makmot, Gabriel and Steven and give them their presents.

We ended the afternoon meeting with all the women, dancing, singing and spending time. They have such a special place in my heart!
